Gospel Reflection
Do we have an obligation to help others? Or is giving to those in need an “extra,” something only the most visibly holy people do? This week Jesus suggests that we all have a right to life’s blessings — food, shelter, community — and that God’s economy aims to distribute them justly.
Announcements
Sunday, 28 September, 2pm Shine you Light Ministry. Do you have a developmentally disabled family member or friend? Shine Your Light’s first service at St Luke’s for developmentally disabled people. All are Welcome!
Saturday, 4 October, 9am - The pumpkins will be arriving at St. Luke’s. We need all able bodies to help unload the truck. It has always turned into a fun morning. If you know any young people who need community service hours we will happily sign off for them. Please let Brenda or Monica know if you will be able to help.
Pumpkins are St. Luke’s biggest fundraiser. We need people to cover the patch and sell them. There is a “how to” book to make it easy. It is also an incredible opportunity to introduce people to St. Luke’s “All Are Welcome”. There is a sign-up sheet at the back of the church and one available at Coffee Hour. If you miss those you may call the church office 732-548-4308.
Sunday, 5 October, 2025 from 2-4 pm is Blessing of the animals. Please bring your pet and join us for a blessing as well as activities, give aways and pet welfare information.
We will be supporting Sammys Hope Animal Welfare and Adoption Center. Kindly bring your donations of pet food and/or pet supplies to the basket at the church entrance or go online to Sammys Hope website and visit their Amazon Wish List.
Sunday, 12 October at 11:30am - 2025 Ministry Fair

It takes approximately half an hour per week once you know how, and training will be provided. You will serve for a month or two at a time. Interested? Let Deacon Anne or Father Todd know.
