Gospel Reflection
What is special about the kingdom that Jesus proclaims? What's special is that it is a place that welcomes tax collectors and prostitutes: those who don't find welcome anywhere else. If you've ever wondered if you belong in church, come to St. Luke's this Sunday. Jesus is saying: this is where you, too, belong.
Thank you to everyone who helped make the Ministry Fair a roaring success this year! Whether you presented a ministry, signed up for something new, or just perused the room, your presence helped St. Luke's see a slice the amazing quantity and diversity of things God is doing through our parish! Special thanks to Deacon Anne Lemay and the Nails in the Wall Gallery crew for organizing and setting up, and to Mother Barbara for balloons!

St. Luke’s
Bishop Sally French has announced that Fr. Todd Foster is Priest In Charge of St. Luke's Church Metuchen. Paperwork will follow. Welcome to our New Priest in Charge. (Brenda Yuro and Florence Tracy - Wardens)

First Presbyterian Church in Metuchen would like St. Luke's to come sell pumpkins at their Fall Harvest Festival, Friday October 25 from 3.30pm-8pm. If you would like to join the fun, represent St. Luke's, celebrate with our neighbors, and raise some funds for St. Luke's at the same time, please speak to Monica or Fr. Todd right away so we can let First Pres. know to save us a spot!
Remember the First Presbyterian Church food bank when you go grocery shopping! Put non perishable foods in the basket at the church door. Canned goods, cereal, pasta, tinned meats, tuna, all are needed.

Join us for a special Potluck Luncheon as we come together to celebrate and bid a heartfelt farewell to Chuck and Charlotte Gudorp after decades of service, dedication, and love for St. Luke’s Metuchen. To say they will be missed would be an understatement! Their presence and contributions have touched so many lives within our church community. Let’s send Chuck and Charlotte off St. Luke’s style—with love, well wishes, fellowship, and, of course, great food! ❤️🍽️ Please join us as we celebrate this wonderful couple and wish them all the best in their next chapter. 📋 Sign-up sheet: Please see Kasi LeGrand to sign up and indicate what dish or food item you would like to bring. Donations for Saint Luke's 2026 Christmas Fair's Trinkets & Treasures Table will be accepted beginning on Monday, November 9, 2026. At that time, donations may be placed on the stage in the Auditorium. Additionally, we ask that our bakers begin to plan their donations for Saint Luke's Baked Goodies Table. Items should arrive in the Auditorium on Friday, December 4th. Our team leaders will be reaching out to ask for your assistance in creating another outstanding event!
