Gospel Reflection
"When you give a luncheon or a dinner..." Why is this what Jesus chooses to talk about? What does it have to do with our church, our lives? What does this teach us about living into God's Beloved Community? Come to St. Luke's Sunday and let's talk about it.
Office will be closed - September 1st, Labor day.
Adult Forum this week (Sunday, 11.30am in the Fryer Room): A few times a year, you have an opportunity to talk with Fr Todd about the liturgy — share your feelings, ask questions, maybe learn something you didn’t know. This week’s adult forum is one of those chances.
Do you have a developmentally disabled family member or friend? Shine your Light Ministries offers worship services designed to meet the needs of developmentally disabled people of any age. Deacon David Barr and his wife Donna Barr head this wonderful program for people who are often overlooked in churches. A simple, lively, worship service will be held here at St. Luke's on Sunday, September 28th at 2pm in the afternoon. Coffee/snack (everybody's favorite part!) will follow. Please come, and bring a friend!
We are accepting Donations to Gift Baskets for Christmas Fair. Questions? Contact John. Susan or Karen
Please speak to Linda Zeh about contributing to hiring a bouncy house for the picnic: as an expression of affection for our own children and as an expression of welcome to our neighbors'!
Our Kick-off picnic will be Sunday, 7 Sept, at 11:30am rain or shine. Please sign up to help with food, set-up and clean-up. Sign up sheets are in the back of the nave. Talk to Tammy Fighera for more information.
