Connecting you to the events, meetings & services
Gospel Reflection
Jesus tells a story of a wedding banquet. A huge feast is on offer; but some are too busy with their farms or businesses to attend. Do your financial or "busy-ness" concerns ever interfere with your walk with God? Come to St. Luke's this week as we consider ways to meet this challenge.
Ministry Minute
The history of St Luke's is very important to me. I love to give tours of the church and have always enjoyed the response of people regarding the windows and famous literary people that have visited our lovely church. Chuck G.
This week, in honor of the Feast of St. Francis, St. Luke's hosted a Blessing of the Animals. Thank you to Deacon Carol for organizing this labor of love!
Thank you to everyone who came out to unload pumpkins! The truck was on time, the scouts came out in great numbers, and we were done in about two hours! Thank you to Monica and Kathy for their able organizing!
St. Luke's is known in Metuchen as "the Pumpkin Church!" People will be coming by at all hours, every day, to buy pumpkins. Besides fund raising, this is our best outreach opportunity of the year. Please sign up for a shift (or several) to sit with the pumpkins. The pumpkins sell themselves: all you have to do is offer a welcoming smile and, when people ask about St. Luke's, say "Come and see!"
