PETER A. ST. ONGE MEMORIAL CHILDREN’S EXHIBIT
The Peter A. St. Onge Memorial Children’s Exhibit is a biennial showcase of children’s art that takes place on the “even” years within St. Luke's Nails in the Wall Gallery. The exhibit is widely publicized and open to any child interested to participate. Special outreach, however, is made to the children of St. Luke’s “sister parish” Buen Pastor in Quito, Ecuador as well as to the orphans in Belarus, cared for by the Sisters of St. Elizabeth. The gallery takes the responsibility for framing and preparing the artwork sent by those groups.
Peter A. St. Onge was a highly promising young artist with a special love for helping children create art. In naming this biennial exhibit in his honor, we hope to keep his enthusiasm for the visual arts alive, and hope to be able to include a piece of work by Peter in each subsequent exhibit. Peter died in 2009 at the age of 22.
All donations will help not only the Children’s Exhibit to be publicized and well-mounted, but will assist the gallery in its broad mission to present professional art in a professional manner. Donations should be made payable to St. Luke’s Church, with “Nails in the Wall” clearly named in the memo section of the check. Nails in the Wall Gallery: A Ministry of St. Luke's is pleased to announce that it is the recipient of a 2018 Grant from Middlesex County Cultural and Heritage Commission. This Grant will give added resources for publicity and programming for the Wild and Winsome Series for this year.
